Beckman Coulter Epics XL-MCL: The Epics XL is
a four-color capable bench-top flow cytometry analyzer fitted with
a 15mW air cooled argon
ion laser. A multi-tube carousel loader (32 tubes) is also mated
to the instrument to permit walk away operation for routine types
of analysis with large numbers of samples. This instrument is used
primarily for routine flow cytometric assays, and for sophisticated
assays which do not require flow cytometric sorting or multiple
lasers. Investigators are encouraged to learn the operation of this
cytometer to acquire and analyze their own work, under the guidance
of facility staff.

Coulter Elite ESP: The Elite ESP flow
cytometer/cell sorter is fitted with two lasers, a 20mW 488 argon
laser and a 10mW helium neon (HeNe) laser. Both lasers can be utilized
simultaneously and with the adaptable filter configurations, up to
five color analysis can be performed. The Elite is a two-way droplet
cell sorter that runs at lower pressures and speeds than the MoFlo. |

MoFlo: The MoFlo is a
high speed multilaser droplet cell sorter. This system has enhanced
multilaser capabilities (four separate laser interrogation spots)
and is fitted with five lasers - excitation lines ranging from 350nm
to 647nm. Due to the wide range of excitation wavelengths, most available
fluorescent probes utilized in flow cytometry can be accommodated.
The MoFlo will sort 10-15 times faster than the Elite and has four-way
and single-cell sorting capabilities. |

CyAn: The Cyan is a benchtop
multilaser flow cytometer equipped with three lasers - excitation
lines at 488nm, 635nm and 405nm (violet) wavelengths. It has enhanced
multilaser analysis capabilities with three laser interrogation spots
and nine-color capability. |
