The
Flow Cytometry Core Facility is directed by Charles Goolsby,
PhD, a highly active, and recognized, participant in the
national / international flow cytometry community. Dr.
Goolsby currently serves as Editor-in-Chief for the journals
Cytometry and Clinical Cytometry.

Dr.
Karpus has worked in areas of research and clinical flow
cytometry for 15 years. Dr. Karpus is responsible
for assisting in the technical oversight and management
of the Core Facility and for advising investigators on experimental
design, data analysis and interpretation.

James
Marvin, manager of the facility since August, 2005, has
educational background in medical microbiology and immunology
and has extensive training and experience in flow cytometry.
James is responsible for overseeing the daily operation
of the facility, educational lectures, advising investigators,
and performing work related to protocol development. Presently
his work is focusing on 8+ color analysis of signaling pathways
in leukemia.

Jeffery
Nelson joined the Flow Cytometry Core Facility as a laboratory
technologist in January, 2002, and became Senior Technologist
in 2005. Jeff previously earned a Master of Science
degree and gained experience
as a research technologist working on a variety of immunology
and flow cytometry related research efforts. Jeff's
primary responsibility is assisting the manager in oversight
of the daily operation, assisting with training and advising
of investigators and assisting with protocol development.

Paul
Mehl is the most recent member of the facility starting in
August, 2005. Paul has 13 years of clinical flow cytometry
expertise with experience in clinical microbiology and immunology
as well. Paul is responsible for the daily operations of the
instrumentation and assisting investigators with analysis. |
