Protocols

Below are frequently requested protocols for some of the more commonly performed flow cytometry assays.  Core Facility personnel are willing to assist investigators in implementing any flow cytometry protocol seen in the literature and/or work with investigators interested in assay development.

Commercial kits are available for numerous assays (Annexin V, TUNEL, BrdU, etc.).  We have had experience with many of these kits and will assist investigators with the use of any available commercial kit.

Please note that all of the protocols below have aspects which may need to be optimized for any given cell system before ideal results are obtained.  For optimal results see the "Technical Tips" section for troubleshooting individual procedures.
