If you have a Mac on the campus network, you can download the convertors that will let Word 5.1 read 6.0 (Office 95) or Office 97 files at:

Both binhex and native Mac files are there.

To remove some Mac Word 5 and 6 system instabilities under System 7.5 and 7.6 download:

FixWordSystemMemory.hqx
(yes, the files REALLY are less than 1 KB!!)

To install a file convertor that allows Mac Word 5 to open Word 6 (Office 95 files) download:
