The following tutorials introduce you to many of the capabilities of InforMax’s Vector NTI.
- Chapter 1. “Display Windows”, introduces you to the Vector NTI interface and Display windows, which are Vector NTI’s primary means for manipulating DNA/RNA and protein molecules and gels and producing publication-quality printing output.
- Chapter 2. “Molecule Operations”, teaches you how to display, edit, and manipulate DNA/RNA and protein molecules using Molecule Display windows.
- Chapter 3. “Working With A Molecule’s Graphics Representation”, expands your knowledge of Molecule Display windows and teaches you how to edit the representation of molecule graphics maps.
- Chapter 4. “Vector NTI Tools and Internet Connectivity”, introduces you to Vector NTI’s Tools, a powerful mechanism for extending Vector NTI’s functionality and providing connection to external programs and Internet services.
- Chapter 5. “Database Explorer”, introduces you to Vector NTI’s Database Explorer, allowing you to display and manage the contents of the local and shared databases.
- Chapter 6. “PCR Analysis”, introduces you to Vector NTI’s PCR analysis capabilities.
- Chapter 7. “Molecule Construction”, takes you through the construction of a new molecule where the cloning methods are chosen by the user.
- Chapter 8. “Molecule Design”, introduces Vector NTI’s ability to plan the design of a new molecule all by itself, saving you the effort of selecting genetic engineering techniques.
- Chapter 9. “Advanced Molecule Design”, demonstrates Vector NTI’s design abilities in more complicated cloning situations.
- Chapter 10. “Working With Gel Display windows”, teaches you how to display, format, and manipulate gels using Gel Display windows.
